Whilst in the past the Robocut came highly recommended, in recent years it has declined in popularity and if you look at online reviews, you’ll see a lot of people stating that it has declined in quality. For this reason, it’s clear to see that the Flowbee is the leader in the market at the moment – the majority of people that are purchasing the Flowbee are happy with their product, so it’s the clear leader in that regard.

Caboki are another brand on the market, and in recent years you might consider them to be Toppik’s biggest competitor. There is a key difference between Caboki and the other hair fiber brands on the market.

The one thing that separates Caboki from the others is that whilst brands like Nanogen and Toppik use keratin fibers, Caboki doesn’t. They use a specially formulated cotton – this doesn’t effect the way that Caboki looks on your scalp. Nanogen brand themselves as “the UK’s number 1 expert in getting thicker hair”, so it would seem that you can have faith in their product. Of course, this is coming directly from them, so we’ll need to do a little research to find out more about the product.

Nanogen also use Keratin protein fibers, which would suggest that there aren’t many differences between this product and other similar hair fibers. I mean, can they really be much different? Well Nanogen claims that they are, with a few bold claims on their website.

Nanogen claim that they use a Kinetic strip technology which helps the fibers attach to your hair properly. This ensures that the powder will attach to your hair and not sit on your scalp, which can be a problem with cheaper hair fiber.

This same technology also ensures that the fibers will stay attached to your scalp, which can definitely be an issue with other options – putting it on in the morning and it becoming detached from your hairs by the afternoon is no good – fortunately, this isn’t a problem with Nanogen.

Generally, Nanogen is actually a little bit cheaper than the other hair fibers. So, seeing as they state they do everything Toppik does and more, it may only make sense to opt for them if they do everything that state they can. Conclusion

Overall, there aren’t a ton of differences between these hair fibers and most of them would probably get the job done. Hair fibers are generally a good idea if you’re looking for something to help give your hair a fuller looking volume, so you could consider any of these as a viable option.

For me, I would opt for Nanogen as my hair loss fiber of choice. Firstly because it’s made of keratin protein, and although some claim Caboki to look natural, I don’t think that it looks as natural as the other hair fibers.

Secondly, Nanogen is generally found at a much cheaper price than Toppik, Caboki and Infinity. This might not matter if you’re only using a hair fiber every now and then, but if you’re using it on a daily basis then the price is going to add up drastically. So, it’s important to find something that fits into your budget.

Remember, these hair fibers aren’t going to be a permanent solution to hair loss and you might have to look elsewhere if you’re dealing with male pattern baldness. If this is you, then there are other options available to you – things like Minoxidil or even a DHT blocking shampoo may be more effective for your needs. But if you want something to help your hair look thicker, then one of these hair fibers will work perfectly.

Viviscal and Nourkin – two of the most popular tablets used for aiding hair loss. They both have loyal followings and a ton of reviews online that attest to whether they work or not – but is one of them better than the other, or are they both relatively similar?

The main difference between Viviscal and Nourkrin is that their main ingredient is formulated individually by each company. They both rely on a fish protein extract to help aid hair loss, but Viviscal’s is called AminoMar C whilst Nourkrin’s is called Marilex.

The reality is that neither of these products are going to be the best thing around for treating hair loss specifically. This is especially true if you’re experiencing permanent hair loss – you’ll definitely need to look for a resolution that’s more permanent like minoxidil or finasteride.

But generally, temporary hair loss can definitely be caused by a lack of nutrients – something which tablets like Nourkrin and Viviscal are aiming to fix. You can use other methods to treat your hair for temporary hair loss like Nioxin, which is another way to combat hair loss in the short term. But if you’re deficient in a certain nutrient, then it can be a good way to fill in any gaps in your diet that you’re missing.

Lets have a closer look at the two hair loss tablets so you can get an idea of whether you want to opt for either of these products.

Viviscal vs Nourkrin Tablets – The Similarities

The main thing to say about both of these products is that they’re really not too different from each other. If you look at the ingredients, then there isn’t a lot of difference between the ingredients list. The main active ingredient in both of these tablets is a marine based fish extract that’s supposed to be amazing for your health.

There’s not too much research on their specific ingredients – Nourkrin contains Marilex whilst Viviscal contains AminoMar C – but it’s safe to assume that they do have their health benefits based on other fish extracts that are available. Both of these ingredients are made by their teams respectively, so it’s difficult to find out any more about them.

Both products also contain Acerola, which is a type of cherry extract. They’re common known as a superfruit because they contain a few of the usual big hitters when it comes to considering your health. It contains a lot of vitamin C which is great for your body tissue, Niacin (B3) which is considered to be good for blood flow to your hair follicles and Riboflavin (B2) which is another important b vitamins for maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails.

Of course, they both contains one of the bigger hair loss vitamins around – Biotin. Biotin has been used commonly as a hair loss ingredient in the majority of shampoos and tablets that you’ll find online. And whilst additional Biotin in your diet won’t make you grow more hair, if you’re deficient in B7 then this can be an undoubtable cause of hair loss.

Lets take a closer look at each of the individual products to get a closer idea of where they may different from each other.

Viviscal

If you want one of best best known brands for hair loss supplements, then Viviscal is one of your first point of call. It’s been advertised by a wide different range of familiar faces – everyone from Jennifer Aniston to Miley Cyrus have said that they’re taking the hair loss product.

Viviscal made major headlines when the once small Irish company was purchased for a massive ?150 million in 2017 – they were bought by Church and Dwight, the same company that own major haircare products like Nair and Toppik. Though they’ve made this purchase, the brand hasn’t changed much and the ingredients have undoubtedly stayed the same as well.

Viviscal Main Ingredient – AminoMar C

The main active ingredient that you’re going to find in Viviscal is their patented AminoMar C. It’s a fish extract, or a fish protein. We all know that protein is important for helping your hair to grow – your hair is primarily made up of protein, so it’s a good idea to get enough of it in your diet. And if you’re not, then you can look at a supplement like Viviscal to fill in any gaps in your diet.

Whilst some people believe these types of fish extracts to have no real effect on hair loss, there are studies to prove that they can work for hair loss.

Other Products

Like many other big retail companies, Viviscal have expanded from just producing tablets to creating an abundance of other hair loss products too.

Whilst many people think that Viviscal and Nourkrin are under the same brand, this actually isn’t the case. Hopefully this dispels any thoughts that Nourkrin is the ‘British Viviscal’ – although whilst Viviscal has global popularity, Nourkrin is far more popular in the UK.

Nourkrin Main Ingredient – Marilex

One of the main ingredients that you’re going to find in Nourkrin is Marilex. You may not have heard of it before, but it’s essentially marine proteins that have been taken from fish (we’ve all read about how shark cartilage is beneficial to your system). It’s described by Nourkrin as a bioavailable fish extract – Marilex is created specifically by their team.

In all honesty, there isn’t a lot of evidence and research that this is going to be beneficial for your hair, thought there’s a lack of research for the vast majority of products out there too.

Is there any difference between Nourkrin man and Nourkrin woman?

The ingredients in Nourkrin man and Mourkrin woman are almost exactly the same, except they have one small difference. The Nourkrin for Men have Cod Liver Oil as an additional ingredient. Whilst usually this is a pretty common supplement for both men and women, it’s used here for hair loss primarily because the Omega 3 contained in cod liver oil is a combatant against DHT.

This means that it helps to stop the conversion from testosterone to DHT, which is why guys end up going bald (male pattern baldness). This additional ingredient is the only significant difference between the male and female products, but it’s something you should be aware of.

Other Nourkrin Products

Possible Side Effects of Both Nourkrin and Viviscal

The good news about these kinds of tablets and products is that the side effects that you might experience are generally considered to be minimal. They don’t contain many ingredients that you’re not going to find in your general diet, so there aren’t many serious side effects that you may experience.

Skeletal issues??-?It sounds super scary, but this is a possible side effect of having too much vitamin C in your diet. This is really unlikely to be an issue unless you’re taking Viviscal and eating 10 oranges a day, so don’t be too concerned.

?Decreased Libido -?Allergic reactions are easy to avoid – if you know that you’re allergic to them! Both Viviscal and Nourkrin rely on fish extract as their primary hair loss ingredient, so it makes sense that if you have a fish allergy then you’ll want to avoid using these products.

?Nausea -?Another relatively common side effect that can occur when using well, pretty much any type of tablet is nausea. If you do experience nausea, then you can easily stop taking the product and your nausea should go away relatively quickly.

Are they Worth it? Final Verdict

Overall, in my opinion I would consider using these types of products if firstly, I needed help wth temporary hair loss. But secondly, you need to realise that these are very expensive for what they are. It’s recommended that you continuously take this product even after your hair has improved, but I’m not sure this is sustainable for the majority of people.

If you can afford to bust out $50 a month forever, then you can look to Viviscal or Nourkrin as a solution for your temporary hair loss issues. But in my opinion, you best best is to take these tablets for 3-6 months and then adjust our diet afterwards, trying to include plenty of vitamins and nutrient in your daily diet to avoid these high costs. For an extra $50 a month, you could likely include all of these nutrients in whole foods! But if you need convenience, then these types of supplements are a good option.

Aveda Invati vs Nioxin – Shampoo Comparison

Aveda Invati is one of the more popular shampoos, but when you compare it to Nioxin – one of the longest running hair loss shampoos on the current market – then it’s really difficult to know whether it’s worth your purchase. There are a lot of Nioxin Reviews online that can attest to it working well, but there’s a lot less information on Aveda’s main hair loss product.

That doesn’t mean to say that we should discount the Invati shampoo entirely – it’s not like they’re a random brand that’s popped up last year. Aveda have been around since the 70s and the company are now a subsidiary of Estee Lauder, so they definitely have some credibility behind them.

Lets have a look at the differences between the two products and try to work out if one of them is going to work well for you.

Aveda Invati Shampoo vs Nioxin

It’s clear from the beginning that neither of these hair loss products are going to work for permanent hair loss. If you’re a guy dealing with this, then there are other options available to you that are better – look for something that’s going to be more effective, like Rogaine or a generic minoxidil.

Though they may not work for permanent hair loss, both of these products do have the criteria and ingredients to work for temporary hair loss. It’s super common for people to deal with temporary hair loss, and there can be a variety of different factors as to why that’s happening.

Aveda Invati

One of the main issues with Aveda Invati is that it’s so heavily advertised that you don’t really know whether it actually works. This is a common issue and you’ll find it where any product offers ‘partners’ and ‘affiliates’ – you can’t tell whether the people are being genuine or not about the product itself, or they’re just saying “IT’S AMAZING!!!” because they want you to purchase it through them.

For this reason, it can be really hard to know whether Aveda Invati is actually going to work. So, we’ll look at the ingredients and see whether it has the right qualities to?actually?be effective for hair loss.

It seems that the main ingredient(s) of Aveda Invati is something that the company calls Densiplex. It’s a combination of?Ayurvedic Herbs that are combined together to help try and improve your scalps health. It’s really difficult to find out what these herbs are and whether they’ll have any real effect on your hair loss, so lets look at some of the other ingredients we’re already aware of.

One of the ingredients of Invati shampoo that we know definitely can work to help with hair loss is salicylic acid. It’s the main ingredient in T Sal, one of Neutrogena’s best selling products that works to clear up your scalp from extreme cases of dandruff and other scalp issues. This can definitely help when it comes to cleansing your scalp, which is important for your hair – it needs a healthy environment in which to grow.

In the conditioner, one of the main active ingredients is L Arginine – we’ve seen that most commonly used in Viviscal. L Arginine is a good ingredient that’s proven to work to help increase your hairs elasticity. Whilst this doesn’t directly effect hair loss, it definitely has an effect on the amount of breakages you’re going to have. If your hair has a greater hair elasticity, then you’re less likely to experience breakages in general.

The ‘Scalp Revitalizer’ – a small foam to be applied – has a few good ingredients in it, too. It has ingredients like Ginseng extract to help cleanse the scalp, and well as Vitamin E which can help to cleanse as well as increase circulation (though the research for actual help with hair growth is thinner).

Nioxin

Nioxin is one of the most talked about products of the last few decades, with many people considering it to be the optimal hair loss shampoo. Whether this is the case or not is debatable, but it must be said that Nioxin has far more supporters than those that are against it.

I’ve done an entire review on Nioxin itself, so you can check that out if you want something a bit more in depth. But, we can definitely go into the main details of why you might want to consider Nioxin as your hair loss shampoo of choice.

The main reasons that Invati works for temporary hair loss are also the reasons that Nioxin works, too. It’s good for completely cleansing your scalp and helping to protect it from external excess sebum and oils.

We know that Nioxin is good for this because of the ingredients that it contains – as well as similar ingredients to Invati, it also contains other ingredients like?Sulisobenzone and?Ensulizole. Viviscal and Nourkin – two of the most popular tablets used for aiding hair loss. They both have loyal followings and a ton of reviews online that attest to whether they work or not – but is one of them better than the other, or are they both relatively similar?

The main difference between Viviscal and Nourkrin is that their main ingredient is formulated individually by each company. They both rely on a fish protein extract to help aid hair loss, but Viviscal’s is called AminoMar C whilst Nourkrin’s is called Marilex.

The main active ingredient in both of these tablets is a marine based fish extract that’s supposed to be amazing for your health.

There’s not too much research on their specific ingredients – Nourkrin contains Marilex whilst Viviscal contains AminoMar C – but it’s safe to assume that they do have their health benefits based on other fish extracts that are available. Both of these ingredients are made by their teams respectively, so it’s difficult to find out any more about them.

Both products also contain Acerola, which is a type of cherry extract. They’re common known as a superfruit because they contain a few of the usual big hitters when it comes to considering your health. It contains a lot of vitamin C which is great for your body tissue, Niacin (B3) which is considered to be good for blood flow to your hair follicles and Riboflavin (B2) which is another important b vitamins for maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails.

Of course, they both contains one of the bigger hair loss vitamins around – Biotin. Biotin has been used commonly as a hair loss ingredient in the majority of shampoos and tablets that you’ll find online. And whilst additional Biotin in your diet won’t make you grow more hair, if you’re deficient in B7 then this can be an undoubtable cause of hair loss.

Lets take a closer look at each of the individual products to get a closer idea of where they may different from each other.

Viviscal

If you want one of best best known brands for hair loss supplements, then Viviscal is one of your first point of call. It’s been advertised by a wide different range of familiar faces – everyone from Jennifer Aniston to Miley Cyrus have said that they’re taking the hair loss product.

Viviscal made major headlines when the once small Irish company was purchased for a massive €150 million in 2017 – they were bought by Church and Dwight, the same company that own major haircare products like Nair and Toppik. Though they’ve made this purchase, the brand hasn’t changed much and the ingredients have undoubtedly stayed the same as well.

Viviscal Main Ingredient – AminoMar C

The main active ingredient that you’re going to find in Viviscal is their patented AminoMar C. It’s a fish extract, or a fish protein. We all know that protein is important for helping your hair to grow – your hair is primarily made up of protein, so it’s a good idea to get enough of it in your diet. And if you’re not, then you can look at a supplement like Viviscal to fill in any gaps in your diet.

Whilst some people believe these types of fish extracts to have no real effect on hair loss, there are studies to prove that they can work for hair loss.

Hopefully this dispels any thoughts that Nourkrin is the ‘British Viviscal’ – although whilst Viviscal has global popularity, Nourkrin is far more popular in the UK.

Nourkrin Main Ingredient – Marilex

One of the main ingredients that you’re going to find in Nourkrin is Marilex. You may not have heard of it before, but it’s essentially marine proteins that have been taken from fish (we’ve all read about how shark cartilage is beneficial to your system). It’s described by Nourkrin as a bioavailable fish extract – Marilex is created specifically by their team.

In all honesty, there isn’t a lot of evidence and research that this is going to be beneficial for your hair, thought there’s a lack of research for the vast majority of products out there too.

Is there any difference between Nourkrin man and Nourkrin woman?

The ingredients in Nourkrin man and Mourkrin woman are almost exactly the same, except they have one small difference. The Nourkrin for Men have Cod Liver Oil as an additional ingredient. Whilst usually this is a pretty common supplement for both men and women, it’s used here for hair loss primarily because the Omega 3 contained in cod liver oil is a combatant against DHT.

This means that it helps to stop the conversion from testosterone to DHT, which is why guys end up going bald (male pattern baldness). This additional ingredient is the only significant difference between the male and female products, but it’s something you should be aware of.

Other Nourkrin Products

Possible Side Effects of Both Nourkrin and Viviscal

The good news about these kinds of tablets and products is that the side effects that you might experience are generally considered to be minimal. They don’t contain many ingredients that you’re not going to find in your general diet, so there aren’t many serious side effects that you may experience.

Skeletal issues  – It sounds super scary, but this is a possible side effect of having too much vitamin C in your diet. This is really unlikely to be an issue unless you’re taking Viviscal and eating 10 oranges a day, so don’t be too concerned.

 Decreased Libido – Allergic reactions are easy to avoid – if you know that you’re allergic to them! Both Viviscal and Nourkrin rely on fish extract as their primary hair loss ingredient, so it makes sense that if you have a fish allergy then you’ll want to avoid using these products.

 Nausea – Another relatively common side effect that can occur when using well, pretty much any type of tablet is nausea. If you do experience nausea, then you can easily stop taking the product and your nausea should go away relatively quickly.

Are they Worth it? Final Verdict

Overall, in my opinion I would consider using these types of products if firstly, I needed help wth temporary hair loss. But secondly, you need to realise that these are very expensive for what they are. It’s recommended that you continuously take this product even after your hair has improved, but I’m not sure this is sustainable for the majority of people.

If you can afford to bust out $50 a month forever, then you can look to Viviscal or Nourkrin as a solution for your temporary hair loss issues. But in my opinion, you best best is to take these tablets for 3-6 months and then adjust our diet afterwards, trying to include plenty of vitamins and nutrient in your daily diet to avoid these high costs. For an extra $50 a month, you could likely include all of these nutrients in whole foods! But if you need convenience, then these types of supplements are a good option.

Aveda Invati vs Nioxin – Shampoo Comparison

Aveda Invati is one of the more popular shampoos, but when you compare it to Nioxin – one of the longest running hair loss shampoos on the current market – then it’s really difficult to know whether it’s worth your purchase. It seems that the main ingredient(s) of Aveda Invati is something that the company calls Densiplex. It’s a combination of Ayurvedic Herbs that are combined together to help try and improve your scalps health. It’s really difficult to find out what these herbs are and whether they’ll have any real effect on your hair loss, so lets look at some of the other ingredients we’re already aware of.

One of the ingredients of Invati shampoo that we know definitely can work to help with hair loss is salicylic acid. It’s the main ingredient in T Sal, one of Neutrogena’s best selling products that works to clear up your scalp from extreme cases of dandruff and other scalp issues. This can definitely help when it comes to cleansing your scalp, which is important for your hair – it needs a healthy environment in which to grow.

In the conditioner, one of the main active ingredients is L Arginine – we’ve seen that most commonly used in Viviscal. L Arginine is a good ingredient that’s proven to work to help increase your hairs elasticity. Whilst this doesn’t directly effect hair loss, it definitely has an effect on the amount of breakages you’re going to have. If your hair has a greater hair elasticity, then you’re less likely to experience breakages in general.

The ‘Scalp Revitalizer’ – a small foam to be applied – has a few good ingredients in it, too. It has ingredients like Ginseng extract to help cleanse the scalp, and well as Vitamin E which can help to cleanse as well as increase circulation (though the research for actual help with hair growth is thinner).

Nioxin

Nioxin is one of the most talked about products of the last few decades, with many people considering it to be the optimal hair loss shampoo. Whether this is the case or not is debatable, but it must be said that Nioxin has far more supporters than those that are against it.

I’ve done an entire review on Nioxin itself, so you can check that out if you want something a bit more in depth. But, we can definitely go into the main details of why you might want to consider Nioxin as your hair loss shampoo of choice.

The main reasons that Invati works for temporary hair loss are also the reasons that Nioxin works, too. It’s good for completely cleansing your scalp and helping to protect it from external excess sebum and oils.

We know that Nioxin is good for this because of the ingredients that it contains – as well as similar ingredients to Invati, it also contains other ingredients like Sulisobenzone and Ensulizole. It’s generally assumed that once you’ve finally lost all of your hair, you don’t need to use shampoo anymore. I mean, why would you? Shampoo is for hair right? Well, that’s not necessarily the case. Shampoo can be great for keeping the scalp clean, which is still a necessity even if you’re bald. So, getting the best shampoo for a bald head is still a good idea.

Maple Holistics have been one of my favorite shampoo brands for ages. I’ve used a variety of their different shampoos, but my favorite shampoo of theirs is the Sage Shampoo. It contains Jojoba, Argan and organic tea tree oil which are the common denominators when it comes to shampoos. This is because they work well with soft and sensitive skin.

It’s made for those with dandruff and colored hair, but I’ve found that it works really well for my scalp. The main reason that I started using Nizoral was that I started to get forehead bumps. This might not have been as noticeable if I had hair, but as a bald man it’s pretty important that you have clear skin. Otherwise, it’s super apparent because you don’t have any hair to cover up your bumpy skin.
